Vera Bradley didn't advertise the dimensions of this bag. And while I have no problem with the height or the width, I have a big problem with the length of the tote. The picture makes it look as if it's about half the size it is. I was expecting an item the size of a big purse or the size of other smaller totes that I own. The one I meant it to replace is about half the size of this Vera Bradley Get Carried Away Summer Tote. It reminds me of a beach bag where you store beach towels, bathing suits, and put suntan lotion and bottles of water and Coke into the pockets. It's too big to be used in the front seat of my car to carry my family's collection of six-inch bears and other small toys in and out of the car and into motel rooms every night.
Note: I took my other tote to Europe with me last summer. This one would be way too large to embark and disembark on the Queen Mary 2. It may be called "get carried away" but this tote won't be going very far.
